Biografia
Salomé Bessa é uma engenheira civil especializada em Planeamento. Desenvolveu a sua dissertação de mestrado em Policy Mix e Pobreza Energética, e trabalha como investigadora no Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (CENSE) desde 2021. A Salomé tem estado envolvida em dois importantes projetos da União Europeia: PrioritEE PLUS e Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH), ambos destinados a promover a eficiência energética e reduzir a pobreza energética.
Para além do seu trabalho de investigação, é também responsável pela comunicação digital da Associação Portuguesa de Economia da Energia (APEEN) e foi avaliadora especializada dos Programas do Fundo Ambiental Português "Edifícios + Sustentáveis 2021" e "Vales Eficiência". Trabalhou também como assistente de professor na unidade curricular "Projeto FEUP" da Licenciatura em Engenharia Civil, centrando-se no papel dos engenheiros civis na promoção dos objetivos de desenvolvimento sustentável.
A Salomé é especialmente interessada em tópicos como pobreza energética, ética energética, saúde e justiça energética. Participa ativamente em workshops, webinars e outros eventos relacionados a essas áreas.
Salomé Bessa is a highly skilled civil engineer with a focus on Planning. She holds a Master's degree with a dissertation concerning Policy Mix and Energy Poverty, and has been working as a researcher at the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (CENSE) since 2021. Salomé has lately been involved in two important European Union projects: PrioritEE PLUS and Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH), both aimed at promoting energy efficiency and reducing energy poverty.
In addition to her research work, Salomé is also the digital communication manager of the Portuguese Association of Energy Economics (APEEN) and has served as an expert evaluator for the Portuguese Environmental Fund Programs "Edifícios + Sustentáveis 2021" and "Vales Eficiência." She has also worked as a teaching assistant in the FEUP Project unit course of the Bachelor in Civil Engineering program, focusing on the role of civil engineers in promoting sustainable development goals.
Salomé is a passionate advocate for energy poverty, energy ethics, health, and energy justice. She actively participates in workshops, webinars, and other events related to these topics.
